Latest on appointment of new Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland

Some well known figures from around the world are currently being interviewed for the position of Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland. This post has become vacant as a result of the departure of the current holder Al Hutchinson.

As I report below, there will be intense public interest in the outcome of this interview process – held under the auspices of the Offices of Northern Ireland’s First and Deputy First Ministers Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness respectively.
