A leading Belfast Chartered Surveyor, Frank Cassidy of Ardmore Commercial, has challenged the wisdom of banks forcing the sale of properties in this climate. Jargon buster Cassidy also questions the capacity of Finance Minister, Sammy Wilson, to exercise any influence over the banks as they are all foreign owned.
