Why I think the Queen is a ‘new woman.’

The point I made about the Queen’s ‘revealed’ personality earlier on Twitter arises from her going with her grand-daughter-in-law Kate, to view the latest Mrs Windsor’s wedding dress on show for the first time. The Queen blurted out “it’s horrible. It’s horrid.” This was a very youthful uninhibited comment. I know what she meant.

The gown was modelled along lines of a ‘René Magritte’ painting of a figure with a head missing. The wedding dressed was obviously deliberately pitched to afford it maximum impact.

The Queen’s response was so natural and refreshing. Just hold on there! Don’t start thinking ‘Mallie has become a stark raving royalist!’ Pas de tout. Merely observing.

In conclusion, historically there are no circumstances in which the public would have been heard the Queen emit the slightest, even perceived, ‘indiscretion!’ That would have been left to her husband’s department!
