In wake of challenge to the role of the Police Ombudsman’s Office by CAJ ( Committee for Administration of Justice) Al Hutchinson has made it clear the Ombudsman is not personally responding to the contentious charges. A statement said however,
”The Police Ombudsman’s appointment process, salary and benefits, and security vetting will have to be responded to by the Northern Ireland Office and the Department of Justice.
