Wonderful example of a much under appreciated Norther Ireland painter – David Crone

David Crone ‘window’ – oil on canvas – 2004 …represents the best in
Crone’s oeuvre. Since ceasing to lecture in Belfast’s College of Art
the South Down based artist appears to have liberated his painting,
finding a new lyricism, and on the surface, ridding himself of the
angst of the many years of fragmented figure painting.
