This painting by Neil Shawcross of William Clark reaches a new high for me in his portrait making. The artist clearly luxuriated in the explosion of colour which he throws around with gay abandon. Delightfully executed and worthy of greater exposure. Would love to see this portrait hanging at RHA exhibition.
I wonder did Shawcross realise just what an apogee he reached in realising this work?

Another outstanding portrait by one of the greatest ever painters, magical! Masterful use of colour, line and brushwork. Fresh. Contemporary. Relevant. Inspiring. Best wishes, Sculptor Brendan Jamison, http://www.brendanjamison.com, http://www.twitter.com/brendanjamison
