This work by Hugh Doherty, member of the Balcombe Street siege gang was executed in Portlaoise Gaol prior to Doherty’s release from prison in the run up to the signing of the Good Friday Agreement.
This painting is one of a suite of works totalling 19. Doherty’s exhibition is currently on show in Conway Mill in West Belfast.
