China’s most famous living artist Ai Weiwei has been placed under house arrest in Beijing. It is reported he built a studio without planning and the authorities are not happy. He wanted to hold a public party to mark the demolition of his studio but this has not gone down well with officials in Shanghai. Mr Ai is not a ‘yes’ person and makes his views known to the authorities. The moral of the story is – Robert Ballagh ‘be careful in what you say.’
